I know that I am going to heaven one day. Do you? If you have run into some people this week with this confidence, let me tell you, they are not crazy, arrogant or psychic.

My pastor said it beautifully yesterday by defining faith as “acting like God is telling the truth.”  God has promised that “whosoever believes” in the Son will have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

I can count myself as one of those believers. He did not say whosoever does…

One of the main facets of believing is realizing how powerless we are to save ourselves. This is probably the toughest step for many of us. We like to think that we are at least better than _____.

As the book of Romans tells us, we have all fallen short of the glory of God. Yet the good news is, He didn’t want us to stay apart from Him, so He made a way back.

If you want to know that you know that you know, then you need to accept Jesus as your savior. You see, He is the way for us to connect with God.

Admit to yourself and God that you are a sinner and can not save yourself.

Confess your sins to God.

Believe that Jesus went to the Cross for you, taking on your sins because you could not bear them.

Believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, defeating death and sin. He now intercedes for us in heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father.

If you accept Jesus as your savior, then you are going to heaven too. If God tells you something, believe it. He doesn’t lie, and there hasn’t been anyone able to trip Him up ever.

I know I’m going. I hope to see you there.  If you have accepted Jesus as your savior I pray that you will find a good bible teaching church to help you grow.

I also need to send a shout out to Hope for researching the path to salvation.
